Birdie was abandoned on a golf course Birdie proved herself to be brilliantly elusive — outsmarting rescuers (even professional trackers) at every turn. You might think a dog on a golf course would be easily captured…not in this case! She slipped deep into the woods, hiding in places no one expected, always staying one step ahead. The only way to reach her was a 10 minute golf cart ride! Her hiding places were dense swampy woods with snakes, gators, swarms of mosquitoes with only moonlight to see with the naked eye.

When she finally decided she was ready to trust, Birdie revealed who she truly is: a sweet, calm, gentle girl with a soft spirit and a huge capacity for love. She’s a tiny bit shy at first, but once she knows you’re her person, she blossoms into a devoted companion who adores being close.
